A filter cartridge is a cylindrical filter element formed by folding a certain length of rigid filter material into pleats and bonding the ends together. The filter cartridge has no cage bone and is easy to install.

There are various types and sizes of filter cartridges, commonly including:

1. The size of the filter cartridge is φ=300-350mm, L=500-1000mm, with a large diameter, short length, and many pleats (120-350 pleats), but deep and with small gaps between pleats. The filtration area is large, 14-35 times larger than that of filter bags of the same diameter and length. It is suitable for layout in places with small site area and space; However, due to the small folding angle, dust is prone to accumulate and difficult to clean. It is suitable for filtering and dust removal of dust with a concentration of ≤ 5g/m ³, and the filtering wind speed should not be greater than 0.6m/min.

2. The size of the filter cartridge is not more than 160mm, with L=1-2m. The gaps and angles between the pleats (such as 45 pleats) are large, and the pleats are few and shallow. The filtration area is 2-5 times larger than that of filter bags of the same diameter and length, making it easy to clean and effective; Suitable for filtering and dust removal of dust with a concentration of ≥ 15g/m ³, with a filtering wind speed of 0.6-1.2m/min;

There are three installation methods for filter cartridges: vertical, inclined, and horizontal installation. The filter cartridge is installed vertically, and during pulse cleaning, dust is prone to fall and settle into the ash hopper, which has a good effect. When installed obliquely, the filter cartridges are stacked on top of each other, with a compact structure and small footprint, making it easy to replace. However, during dust cleaning, the dust collected by the upper filter cartridge settles on the upper part of the lower filter cartridge, making it difficult to remove. Horizontal installation makes it more difficult to remove dust from the upper part of the lower filter cartridge. The inclined installation filter cartridge dust collector is suitable for non viscous, low concentration, and coarse dust removal in small and medium-sized dust removal systems, as well as for the modification of some bag filters.
